General Guidelines
PHASE 1
During the initial meeting for a new project, the Client’s requests and the obligations of SCSOP are defined. If necessary, a non-disclosure agreement is prepared and signed by both parties. Download: “Agreement.pdf”
The scope and depth of the requested service are defined to assess timing and costs. Any intellectual property rights that may arise during the project are subject to negotiation.
PHASE 2
SCSOP conducts a preliminary, free-of-charge assessment on the topic and proposes a work plan. Upon Client approval of the various project stages, a written contract is prepared that defines the project objectives, expected results, timeline, and the rights and responsibilities of both partners.
Payment terms are also specified. Typically, a portion of the total fee is requested within 30 days of project initiation.
PHASE 3
To achieve the requested goal, SCSOP may carry out the project independently or with the help of collaborators. Partial reports are prepared at established intervals as appropriate.
A final report will follow, and the project outcome—whether a sample, concept, strategic analysis, or other deliverable—will be handed over to the Client along with the final payment, which may include fees or royalties if applicable. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, ownership of the product belongs to the Client.
